The Persian Section is open, by application, to all Oxford University members, as well as external scholars and researchers. It includes a collection of around 5,000 monographs in Persian history, literature, theology and the arts and sciences, as well as more than 950 Persian manuscripts and just over 900 early printed books in Armenian.
Anyone with an academic affiliation to the University of Oxford, either enrolled on a course studying Persian or using Persian sources in their academic research, can apply to join the Library. Middle Eastern Studies students at Wadham who are not studying Persian formally may also apply for access. Please complete our Online Application Form.
